Welcome to Sparrow Early Learning Ashgrove. We are a brand new, purpose-built facility in the heart of Ashgrove. We offer early education and care for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.

Our Service boasts purpose-built indoor spaces and a large outdoor learning environment designed to inspire a love of nature. Our state-of-the-art resources are first class and we strive to be the leaders in early education and care, within the Ashgrove area.

Our Nursery Studio offers an environment that is warm, nurturing and rich in learning experiences. Caring and qualified Educators love to play, read, rhyme, sing, clap and dance with the babies to enhance their development.

Toddlers are given ample opportunity to develop their social skills and self-confidence in their interactions with others, and to learn literacy and numeracy skills through real-life experiences.

Our Kindergarten program is based on the National Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and taught by our qualified Early Childhood Teachers. With a focus on language, literacy, numeracy and social skills, we will ensure your child is ready for school and embrace a lifelong love of learning.

Our outdoor environments are purpose-built and incorporate sandpits, eco designed playscapes and feature our stunning Sparrow Tree!

We provide nutritionally balanced meals and cater for all dietary requirements. Children also learn about healthy eating habits and how food is prepared.

We understand that parents don’t always have time for extracurricular activities, at Sparrow we run specialised programs including incursions, excursions and weekly lessons.

Our sustainability program and vegetable garden teach children how to grow food and care for their planet.

As a Sparrow family , you will receive regular photos and updates on your child’s learning experience through our dedicated parent app, StoryPark.

Our Service is fully air-conditioned, has plenty of on-site parking and is easily accessible by public transport.

Service Manager at our Childcare Centre, Ashgrove

Hello wonderful people!

My name is Trudy, and I am the Service Manager, and Nominated Supervisor here at Sparrow Early Learning Ashgrove.

I moved from Adelaide on my own nearly 8 years ago, and met my now Husband, who convinced me to stay in Brisbane. I thoroughly adore gardening and finding new ways to be as sustainably minded as possible throughout our daily lives. Read more.

I have been working in the Early Years Education Sector for nearly 12 years now, and absolutely love it. I began as a casual many years ago but fell in love as soon as I understood the amazing impact we can have on the younger generation.

I worked my way through the many roles and found myself enjoying supporting my peers in their work to encourage, teach and care for the children in their care. Stepping into leadership positions has really sparked my passion, and I thoroughly enjoy being able to support both educators and families regarding the children in their care.

The first five years are crucial when it comes to creating a love of learning, which is something Sparrow, and myself hold dear to our hearts. To create a love of learning, however, children and adults both need to feel seen, empowered, and have trust in the space they are in. This is something I hold most dear, and so I hope to create a caring, fun loving and safe environment for all our families that choose to join us at Ashgrove.

I am very excited to take on the Ashgrove Centre and help it blossom to its true potential, to create connections within the community, and create a space filled with love and learning.

Enrolment process

Our childcare centre in Ashgrove promotes an open-door policy where families can visit and walk through the centre at any time during operational hours.

Once families have completed a tour, and would like to enrol their child/children, they will receive an online invitation to complete the enrolment forms

Once enrolled, the orientation process begins. The orientation process is an arrangement made between families and staff that supports the family’s needs.
