About Sparrow Early Learning Centre Eagleby

Sparrow Early Learning Eagleby is situated mid-way between Brisbane and Gold Coast with easy access off the M1. We have two local schools very close by and within walking distance of the centre. We also offer a free courtesy bus service to transport children to and from your residence. Read more.

Sparrow Early Learning Eagleby is an 88-place service that caters for children from 6 weeks to 5 years of age and has 5 spacious rooms for different age groups. We also cater for school age children that have siblings attending the Centre up to the age of 12 years, offering before and after school care and vacation care.

We have a large outdoor play space for children aged 2 – 5, and a separate nursery and Toddlers play area with a large shady play space. Our very large undercover verandah also provides plenty of shade in the warmer months. This allows our service to implement indoor / outdoor programs year-round.

We pride ourselves on our great relationships with our families and we welcome their contributions in all areas of learning. We like to work with our families as co-educators and we greatly value their input.

Sparrow Early Learning Eagleby is a loving, warm environment where children can feel safe, secure and supported during their time with us. We acknowledge each child is unique and let all children learn and develop at their own pace. We maintain strong committed partnerships and networks within our local community especially in regard to early intervention from birth to 5 years.

We offer twice yearly dental health checks and developmental health checks in conjunction with Child Health Pathways Project and local Dentist. It is our real passion to ensure all children have access to health services and support to do this.

Our centre provides nutritious meals cooked fresh on the premises. We can also provide meals for children with allergies and cultural diets. We proudly hold a Logan City Council 5-star rating.

All our Educators are qualified and passionate about Early Childhood Education and Care; they aim to provide exceptional quality care in all areas of the National Quality Standards and achieve good quality outcomes for all children.

We employ 2 qualified Early Childhood Teacher’s working at the service delivering a government approved Kindergarten Program to our kindergarten age children. Our goal is to ensure our kindergarten children are best prepared socially and emotionally for the transition to prep and the school environment. During the second half of the year, our early childhood teacher conducts weekly transition play dates with the children to our local schools to assist with the smooth transition.

“Hi, my name is Carmen and I am proud to be the Service manager of Sparrow Early Learning Eagleby.

I have Been in the Industry for approximately 15 years starting off my career in OSHC and completing my Certificate 3 in early Learning.” Read more.

My journey at Sparrow Early Learning Eagleby began in 2016, joining the team as a educator and then exploring different leadership roles over the years including 2IC.

My goal as the service manager for the children attending our service is to support them with lifelong skills, within a warm, safe and caring learning environment.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my role is having the opportunity to build strong relationships with the centre’s families and the wider community.

We love for our little ones to learn about the importance of ‘self’ and encourage this by supporting their emotional development, independence and socialisation.

Enrolment process

Our childcare centre in Eagleby promotes an open-door policy where families can visit and walk through the centre at any time during operational hours.

Once families have completed a tour, they will receive an enrolment pack with all necessary paperwork.

Once enrolled, the orientation process begins. The orientation process is an arrangement made between families and staff that supports the family’s needs.
