About Sparrow Early Learning Centre Karana Downs

Sparrow Early Learning Karana Downs is a beautiful 67 place centre offering four Reggio Emilia inspired rooms. We offer care for children from the age of 6 weeks to 5 years with a warm, nurturing space for them to learn and grow. Read more.

Each of our play spaces are set up specifically to cater to the individual needs of the children and their developmental stages. For instance, you will see in our infant’s room that resources like mirrors are placed low to the ground to help support your baby’s development and growing curiosity. In our toddler and Pre Kindy rooms, we have resources at a higher level and in scenarios to encourage open-ended and loose-parts play. Our Kindergarten environment is specifically tailored to support our children in their transition to prep.

Our centre is located in a quiet street amongst local shops and a golf course. Our Educators are passionate about creating a unique environment where each child and their families have a sense of belonging within our Sparrow family.

Service Manager at our Childcare Centre, Karana Downs

Hi, my name is Tash, and I am the Service Manager at Karana Downs. I have been in the childcare industry for over 23 years and have an aim to be able to make a difference in children’s lives by providing Quality Education and Care to children of all ages.

Seeing children learn and grow to their full potential and being a part of that is an amazing feeling. Forming long lasting relationships and bonds with children and families that can last way beyond a child’s time in care. The excitement on their faces, the smiles, the never-ending questions and a Child’s thirst for knowledge and understanding. Read more.

Helping children to develop their Social and Emotional skills that will last them a lifetime. The difference that Early Childhood Education can make in a Child’s Development and knowing that I have the honour of playing a part in Educating our future leaders.

I have five children of my own and I want nothing but the best for them and therefore want to provide the best care possible for all children here at Sparrow Early Learning Karana Downs. Our centre is a Warm and Welcoming environment where the children and families are encouraged to become active participants in all aspects of care for their children. We support and listen to our families right from the moment they walk through our door and are always here to help in any way that we can.

We provide our children with the opportunity to explore and learn at their own pace and engage in learning experiences of interest while Educators scaffold their play and use these as teachable moments. Educators strive to support Children to be strong, independent, and confident individuals by the time they leave our care.

Enrolment process

Our childcare centre in Karana Downs promotes an open-door policy where families can visit and walk through the centre at any time during operational hours.

Once families have completed a tour, they will receive an enrolment pack with all necessary paperwork.

Once enrolled, the orientation process begins. The orientation process is an arrangement made between families and staff that supports the family’s needs.
