About Sparrow Early Learning Somerville Cottage

Sparrow Early Learning Somerville Cottage is an early learning centre located in Somerville on the Mornington Peninsula. It was originally built as a doctor’s surgery with a garden designed by famous landscape gardener, Edna Walling. Read more.

We provide care and education for children from 6 weeks through to school age. Our centre prides itself on a warm friendly atmosphere that has often been referred to as an extension of the home. We aim to provide care that compliments and extends the home life, supporting families to meet their child’s needs to the best of our ability.

Our natural setting adds to the extension of home life, where the children are able to explore nature and be challenged by their investigations.

Our relationships with families and children is of utmost importance to us and we strive to support our families and children to feel part of our Somerville Cottage family.

Kirsty is currently studying for a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and Care and Cassie’s 7 years of managerial experience at Sparrow Early Learning Somerville Cottage guarantees you it’s the best place for your child’s education and relationships to set them up on a journey for success.

At Sparrow Early Learning Somerville, we go above and beyond to accommodate your child and family in a calming, safe place. We encourage curiosity, exploration, and investigation through natural environments and encourage growth and challenges through experiences and interactions. Enrolment process

Our early learning service in Somerville East promotes an open-door policy where families can visit and walk through the centre at any time during operational hours.

Once families have completed a tour, they will receive an enrolment pack with all necessary paperwork.

Once enrolled, the orientation process begins. The orientation process is an arrangement made between families and staff that supports the family’s needs.
