About Sparrow Early Learning Somerville

Sparrow Early Learning Somerville is situated in Gomms Road, Somerville, on the Mornington Peninsula. We are an 80 place service with 5 rooms, providing care for children aged 6 weeks through to 5 years. Read more.

We aim to provide the highest quality care & education for every child. We believe that every child has the right to feel safe and secure in a warm & nurturing environment that respects and caters for each child and family’s individual needs regardless of gender, age, ability, economic status, family structure, lifestyle, religion, culture or language.

Our service prides itself on the strong relationships we build with children, educators and families always encouraging their input and to become more involved within the centre and community.

We have a community yard that our whole centre shares together allowing our siblings to meet throughout the day. All rooms have time throughout the day to play outdoors in their own age groups as well. We encourage children to care for our gardens, watering them every-day. We also have a vegetable patch & fruit trees that the children can look after and use fresh produce in their room cooking experiences. Our worm farm & recycling bins assist children in gaining knowledge of sustainable practices to help our environment.

Our educators use the Early Years Learning Framework to guide their educational programs. We have individual learning portfolios that parents & families can access at any time.
