About Sparrow Early Learning Centre in Alkimos

At Sparrow Alkimos, we have a fantastic, purpose-built centre with four very spacious rooms, well stacked with resources for the children to interact with. Our centre is licensed for 72 children per day and is open from 6.30am to 6.30pm. Included in our fees are nutritious meals which are freshly prepared by our in-house cook and menus have been developed to ensure our children receive a well-balanced diet. Read more.

We have wonderful natural outdoor play spaces, including a water play area, a veggie patch, sand play areas, luscious grassed areas for the children to crawl, walk and run on and a small forest of trees to explore in.

We have had incursions and also started going on excursions in the community. We have ‘Happy Feet’ dance and movement program and ‘Yoga Lisa’ come to our centre on a regular basis. We provide a wide range of activities and experiences on our programs.

Our team is dedicated to providing a safe, friendly environment that nurtures your child’s social and educational development. Our aim is to provide experiences so that children become successful, competent and capable learners. Whether you are looking for a new care and education centre or placing your child into care for the first time, feel confident that we will provide you outstanding service.

I’m originally from Ireland but I have lived in Perth for almost 9 years. I’ve always loved working with children and have been in Early Childhood Education for as long as I can remember.

Enrolment process

Our day care centre in Alkimos promotes an open-door policy where families can visit and walk through the centre at any time during operational hours.

Once families have completed a tour, they will receive an enrolment pack with all necessary paperwork.

Once enrolled, the orientation process begins. The orientation process is an arrangement made between families and staff that supports the family’s needs.
