Full Time | 18 Month Maternity Leave position
We are in search of a goal-driven, passionate and accomplished Early Childhood Education specialist who will
- align training initiatives with Sparrow’s strategic objectives and vision
- advocate for the importance of early childhood education and the role of high-quality practice in shaping positive outcomes for children
- ensure services are meeting or exceeding compliance requirements and quality standards in conjunction with the operations team
The Education and Practice Consultant plays a vital role in supporting and embedding the Sparrow Way across our services. This role provides expert guidance, coaching, and resources to ensure the highest standards of educational practice, compliance, and continuous improvement in alignment with Sparrow Early Learning’s philosophy, values, and strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with operational teams to ensure a consistent approach to curriculum and practice across all services.
- Assisting in preparing services for assessment and rating visits and support improvement strategies.
- Supporting and Managing Education and Practice Leaders and Mentors in their day to day roles.
- Fostering a culture of reflective practice, innovation, and ongoing learning.
- Engaging with sector trends and research to inform best practice and continuous improvement.
- Representing Sparrow Early Learning at industry forums, conferences, and networking events as required.
- Championing the Sparrow Way by guiding teams in best-practice education and care approaches.
- Providing coaching and mentoring to educators and leaders to strengthen pedagogy, practice, and curriculum development.
- Supporting the implementation of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Framework (NQF), and other relevant standards.
- Developing and delivering professional development initiatives that enhance educators’ capabilities and confidence
To be successful in this role you’ll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (or equivalent qualification).
- Willingness to travel to all services Nation-wide for in-service support and training
- Strong understanding of the EYLF, NQF, and relevant regulations.
- Proven experience in a similar Education Consultant role
- Extensive experience in early childhood education, including leadership or mentoring roles.
- Experience in coaching, training, or professional development delivery.
- Passion for high-quality early childhood education and continuous improvement.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to inspire and guide teams.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Adaptability to work across multiple locations and engage with diverse teams.
