As an Assistant Educator you will be creating and maintaining fun, safe, engaging, and inviting learning environments as well as maintain excellent relationships with families, children and other team members. In addition our Lead Educators work closely with our Leadership Team and lead our Assistant Educator team to create and deliver educational programs and practices that supports children’s learning and development. It is required that you record children’s progress, routines and interests as well as ensure compliance with routines, policies, processes, and practices.
At Sparrow Early Learning Wanneroo we have extremely motivated and dedicated educators who thrive on developing inviting, friendly, fun and educational learning environments. We have lovely safe enclosed outdoor play areas which have some wonderful features including sandpits, a natural play hill and tunnel, dry river bed with a water pump as well as raised flower and vegetable beds. The children are encouraged to help grow their own vegetables, fruit and herbs with the educators.
What you’ll need:
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care
- Monday to Friday required
- Strong knowledge & understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standards and Play-based Child-led pedagogy
- Current Working with Children Check
- Excellent communication & leadership skills
- Experience with Storypark is a bonus
- First Aid and CPR certificates including Asthma and Anaphylaxis training.
