At Sparrow, play is the foundation of everything we do. Through imaginative, social and physical play, children develop critical thinking, problem-solving and communication skills that build the cognitive pathways that support literacy, numeracy and scientific reasoning later in life.
Our play-based program allows children to follow their interests, ask questions and investigate ideas at their own pace. Our educators listen, observe and scaffold learning by offering resources, asking open-ended questions and documenting progress. There’s no rigid schedule separating “play” from “real learning”, the two are inseparable.
