Meet
Charlotte

Service Manager at our Childcare Centre, Swanbourne

Hello families,

My name is Ms. Charlotte, I am the Service Manager here at our Swanbourne service.

My journey at Sparrow Early Learning Swanbourne began in 2016, joining the team as a trainee educator and then exploring different leadership roles over the years. I can say with my whole heart that working alongside children and families has been a truly humbling and special experience, solidifying my passion for Early Childhood Education. Read more.

In 2018, I became a Mum to a vivacious and hilarious little one, who opened my eyes to the potential impacts that we could make on not only the children we care for each day, but our families too. I truly value the impact of connection and nurture between children and their ‘grown-ups’ because when our little ones feel safe and respected, it allows them to be uninhibited explorers, making endless enquiries about themselves, others and the wondrous world around them.

Our service philosophy has been thoughtfully developed by our educators, families and local community. We pride ourselves on creating an environment that feels like a ‘home away from home’, ensuring that our Studio’s and outdoor environments are comfortable, inviting and safe. When our little ones arrive each morning, our focus is on making sure they feel a sense of belonging and developing their sense of agency.

We love for our little ones to learn about the importance of ‘self’ and encourage this by supporting their emotional development, independence and socialisation.

One very special aspect of our service is that we have a very close-knit community surrounding our service and see the majority of our families start their journey with us and venture off to school together, forming friendships that are meaningful and last from their youngest years and throughout. We pride ourselves on our knit community because we are a smaller service that genuinely feels like a family.

There is that very recognisable quote that says… ‘It takes a village to raise a child’ which I think speaks true to our service.
