At Sparrow Early Learning, we hold the firm belief that a child’s educational journey commencing is of paramount significance. Commencing from January 1st, 2024, families in Queensland are guaranteed 15 hours of cost-free Kindy education every week for a total of 40 weeks!
This initiative is applicable for the forthcoming four years, benefiting children who are at least 4 years old by June 30th of the year preceding their Prep commencement.
This endeavour not only aids parents in making education easily accessible and affordable but also offers substantial support to childcare Educators. The primary objective of this strategy is to entice and retain educators by providing them with abundant opportunities to enhance their qualifications within the field of education.
Key Points for free Kindy 2024
- For 4-year-old children by 30th June in the year before commencing Prep.
- Attending a Government-approved educational program offering free Kindy in seasonal or long day care.
- In a Kindy program that is delivered by a qualified Early Childhood Teacher.
