Sparrow Ormeau Hills is a warm, creative childcare centre offering child-led early education and care for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. Within walking distance of the local bus stop, our Ormeau Hills early learning centre works alongside families to understand each child’s routines, interests, cultural background and individual needs. Our caring educators provide a holistic, play-based curriculum with a strong focus on nature and outdoor learning, helping children build curiosity, confidence and a lifelong love of learning.

Welcome to Sparrow Early Learning and Childcare Ormeau Hills
At our Ormeau Hills early learning centre, families play a central role in each child’s learning journey. We welcome family involvement in activities, routines and program development, celebrating families as co-educators and helping each child feel known, understood and connected.
Our experienced educators create engaging, play-based experiences with a strong emphasis on nature, outdoor exploration and safe discovery. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, our Ormeau Hills childcare centre offers Bush and Pram Kindy, swimming, yoga, incursions, local community excursions and twice-yearly health checks, helping children build confidence, wellbeing, friendships and a deeper connection to the world around them.
Having started my career and journey in Early Childhood over three decades ago it is a journey I am so very passionate about.
With a passion for Early years Pedagogy and working closely with our community, every day I feel inspired and honoured to be a part of our little people’s journey.
