Sparrow Early Learning Childcare
Sparrow Jacobs Ridge is a purpose-built childcare centre located at the entrance of Jacobs Ridge Estate in Ormeau, close to shops and cafes. We provide child-led, play-based early education to children aged 6 weeks to 6 years with a strong emphasis on outdoor learning. Our brand-new, shaded outdoor environment, complete with a playful water-spraying elephant, supports exploration and curiosity, while our welcoming community fosters a safe and nurturing foundation for lifelong learning.

Welcome to Sparrow
Our learning environments invite children to explore, discover and connect with nature, including Bush Kindy for our Kindergarteners. We offer before and after school care for Ormeau State and Norfolk Village State Schools, as well as vacation care during school holidays that supports our families and community.
With regular dental visits from ‘Dental 2 You’, nurturing educators and strong family partnerships, our holistic learning approach ensures every child is supported to grow, learn, and thrive in a safe, welcoming, and community-focused environment.
Ever since I was young, working with children was what I was destined to do. I started babysitting and helping look after the children around our neighbourhood from 13 years old – and here I am, still caring for children to this day.
I have worked in all positions within the centre, but teaching Preschool was one of my favourite jobs. I have been a Director for almost two decades.
