Sparrow Early Learning Childcare
Sparrow Alkimos is a safe, friendly childcare centre with natural outdoor play spaces including water and sand play areas, veggie patch and a small forest to explore. Located near public transport and across from Shorehaven Primary School, we offer early education and care to children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. Our garden, guinea pigs, worm farm and compost spark curiosity and understanding of sustainability.

Welcome to Sparrow
Our team is committed to creating a nurturing environment where children feel secure, confident and capable learners. We offer regular community excursions and incursions including visits to local parks such as Yanchep National Park, Two Rocks Library, shops, strawberry farm experiences and our local primary school.
We celebrate sustainability by recycling and reusing arts and crafts and using plant cuttings to grow in our garden. Kitchen scraps feed our guinea pigs, worm farm or compost and we upcycle unwanted items to repurpose.
I am a passionate educator and service manager, with over 25 years’ experience in education and care roles. I began my career in childcare after enrolling my daughter at a local centre so I could continue my career as a teacher. This paved the way for me to pursue work in the early childcare industry so I could provide parents with what I believed was high quality childcare, and as a result give them peace of mind while needing to work.
My beliefs about quality childcare align closely with Sparrow’s educational philosophy and The Sparrow Way, believing that all children have an inherent ability to learn.
