Sparrow’s Stones Corner childcare centre is a warm, welcoming space that feels just like home, an inviting extension of your child’s familiar world.
Just 5 km from Brisbane CBD and close to public transport, shops and cafes. Our centre is filled with natural, everyday materials and led by a long-serving, multicultural team who come to know every child and family deeply.
Children aged 6 weeks to 6 years explore, play and grow, across our nursery, daycare and Kindergarten Program, in spaces designed to spark wonder and a genuine sense of belonging.

Welcome to Sparrow Early Learning and Childcare Stones Corner
To us, an afternoon of digging is just an afternoon of digging. To a child, it might be an excavation, an ocean, the start of a friendship, or the moment they figured out how to ask for help. At our Stones Corner childcare centre, we see the depth in everyday play.
Inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, our educators guide a holistic, play-based program that follows each child’s curiosity, from our youngest in the nursery through to our Kindergarten Program and Transition to School. Homely indoor spaces and shaded outdoor areas filled with rocks, logs and climbing structures invite imaginative play, while calm, predictable routines and a long-serving team help every child feel safe, known and at home.
We’d love to show you around. Tours are unhurried, Stay and Play sessions are offered before enrolment, and there’s always a fresh tea or coffee waiting.
I have been with Sparrow since December 2024, starting as 2IC, and have been in the early childhood industry since 2016. I hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
As a Service Manager, what I love most is supporting both children and educators to thrive. Creating an environment where everyone feels valued, supported, and inspired is incredibly rewarding. Watching children grow in confidence and seeing educators develop their practice brings me so much satisfaction.

Our team is long-serving and consistent, so children grow up alongside familiar faces who know them deeply. Daily life is built around calm, predictable rhythms that help children feel secure, especially during arrivals, transitions and rest times.
Our indoor and outdoor spaces are designed to invite exploration while keeping children safely within sight and care. We are Allergy & Anaphylaxis Aware and SunSmart Aware, and we always welcome conversations with families about how we protect and care for your child. If something’s on your mind, we want to know.
Our Stones Corner educators are a long-serving, multicultural team, which means children grow up alongside familiar faces who understand their interests, personalities and rhythms. This consistency matters to us. When educators stay, relationships deepen, trust grows, and children flourish.

What looks like “just playing” is where children build confidence, language, problem-solving, friendships and a sense of self. To us it might be a sandpit; to them it’s an ocean, a construction site, a whole world. Our program weaves in nature, art, music, movement through our sports and dance programs, and excursions into the local community.
For our older children, our Government Approved Kindergarten Program and Transition to School Program prepare them not only academically but socially and emotionally for the year ahead, because school readiness is so much more than knowing letters and numbers.
Our doors are open from 7am to 6pm, with the day shaped by calm, predictable rhythms that help children feel grounded.
Mornings begin with gentle arrivals, group gatherings and breakfast for those who’d like it. Children move freely between homely indoor spaces and our shaded outdoor playground, full of rocks, logs and climbing structures, with educators following their curiosity rather than rushing them through a schedule.
Nutritious, freshly prepared meals are shared together throughout the day, with international variety reflecting our multicultural community.
Rest time is unhurried, and afternoons close with reflection, more play, and warm goodbyes.
We share daily updates through Storypark, photos, learning moments, meals, sleeps and small stories from your child’s day.
Beyond the app, our educators love a real chat at drop-off and pick-up; these everyday conversations are often where the deepest connections happen. And if something’s ever on your mind, in the first week, the first month, or a year in, we want to hear your feedback.
Settling into childcare is a journey for the whole family, and we’re here for the questions that come long after enrolment day, not just before.
Tours at Sparrow Early Learning Stones Corner are unhurried, we’d rather you leave with every question answered than feel rushed through. You’ll have time to walk through our spaces, meet our educators, watch the children at play, and pause wherever something catches your interest.
We’ll pour you a tea or coffee on arrival and leave plenty of time at the end for the questions that come up after the tour itself.
If you’d like to explore the environment with your child before enrolling, our Stay and Play sessions let you and your child spend time in the centre together, no decisions required, just a chance to feel the place for yourselves.
We’re located 5 km from Brisbane CBD, and only a 10 minute walk away from the Buranda Train Station in Woollongabba, with shops and cafes close by.
